Aaron Rodgers’ clutch birdie putt on the final hole made all the difference as he and teammate Tom Brady recently rallied to knock off Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen at the 6th annual “The Match” charity event at the Wynn Golf Club.

“9 iron. Putter. W. Great victory with the goat,” Rodgers tweeted at the end of the 12-hole match-play event where the score was deadlocked at 3-3. The scoring was awarded based on whichever team scored better on each hole.

As the drama-filled day played out, the jokes flowed freely, many of them centered on the difference in age between all the players, as both Mahomes and Allen are 26, while Brady and Rodgers are 44 and 38 respectively.

“I felt really good about [the putt], to be honest,” Rodgers told CBSSports.com. “Tommy gave me a great read. I heard Trevor [Immelman] and Charles [Barkley] in my head telling me I was going to make it, and I felt good about the line when I hit it, I knew it was going in. It was a fun day.”

Over the years, the event has also included the likes of pro golfers Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau and former NFL star quarterback Peyton Manning.
