Brown County announced that the NEW Zoo’s Adventure Park began weekend operations on May 3, 2025, ahead of its previously planned Memorial Day opening. This decision allows select areas of the park to be accessible earlier in the season.
According to a press release, the NEW Zoo’s Adventure Park opened earlier than planned due to favorable weather and early completion of safety checks and staff training. The park is now ready to welcome visitors of all ages, with limited space and scheduled activities that require advance online booking. Memberships are available, and weekend park hours run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with weekday and weekend hours also set for the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour.
“We’re incredibly excited to open early this year,” said Nathaniel Wagner, Adventure Park supervisor. “Our team has worked hard to get everything ready, and we can’t wait to see families and adventurers back on the ziplines, challenge course, climbing wall, and Kid’s Kourse.”
The NEW Zoo’s Adventure Park features multiple attractions, including a ropes course, climbing tower, zip lines, and a kids’ course. Designed for safety and flexibility, participants can select their challenge level with features such as the Smart Snap safety system on the ropes course and a passive zip line experience from a 50-foot tower. The park includes 17 rope elements across three difficulty levels, a climbing structure with variable routes, a QuickFlight free-fall system, and a low-to-the-ground Kids Kourse for younger visitors. Group adventure bookings are now open for spring 2025 and beyond.
Brown County in Wisconsin is noted for its population of over 260,000 people as the fourth-largest county in the state. It offers a mix of history, education, agriculture, and industry. The county includes Green Bay city—a major hub known for paper manufacturing, cheese processing—and its NFL team, the Green Bay Packers. The Packers have won multiple league championships and Super Bowls.
