Items not eligible for this collection include construction debris, electronics, appliances, and move-out trash. Residents can dispose of these materials at designated drop-off sites located on both the east and west sides of Green Bay. Proof of residency is required at these locations, with hours varying by site. The Brown County Transfer Station also accepts certain types of waste but imposes dumping fees and specific requirements.
The Brown County Solid Waste Transfer Station is situated at 3734 West Mason Street in Hobart, Wisconsin. It operates seasonally with varying hours: from January 1 to March 31, it is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to noon; from April 1 to December 31, it opens Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., remaining closed on major holidays. All loads must be tarped and safety vests or high visibility apparel are mandatory; these can be purchased onsite for $5.
