The City of Green Bay Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department announced that Ann Moeller received the Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association’s (WPRA) “Dr. George Wilson Service Award” on February 6 for her service to the parks and recreation profession. The announcement was made in a press release on March 4, 2025.

According to the press release, Ann Moeller earned her degree in Elementary Education and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in May 2003. She began her career as the Aquatic Supervisor for the Howard-Suamico School District from 2005 to 2006. Moeller then transitioned to the city of Green Bay, where she served as Recreation Supervisor from 2006 to 2022. She currently holds the position of Recreation Manager for the city.

Moeller has been a long-time volunteer for WPRA, contributing to its conference committee in 2013, 2018, and 2025. She has held several leadership roles within WPRA, including serving as an Aquatic Section Board member, Region II Representative from 2010 to 2013, Aquatic Section Chair in 2015, Aquatic Section Representative from 2018 to 2021, and Communications Committee Chair from 2022 to present.

The Dr. George Wilson Service Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated continuous achievement and dedication to WPRA. This award recognizes those who have shown persistent service to the state association. Moeller was honored with this award for her years of outstanding contributions to the parks and recreation field and her leadership within WPRA.

The Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department promotes wellness and community engagement through various programs and public spaces. It offers services such as recreational activities, park projects, and seasonal events like Field Fest and Draft City Music Fest. The department is committed to providing high-quality programming and facilities for residents throughout the year.
