In-state tuition and fees rose 1.4 percent for 2018-19 at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Wisconsin residents paid $4,729 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $67 more than the $4,662 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 45.4 percent more than residents this year, or $6,877. Their price tag grew 1.5 percent from $6,778 in 2017-18.

About 85 percent of the school’s undergraduate population are Wisconsin residents. And about 15 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 80 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 143 students received grants or scholarships totaling $682,675 and 122 students took out student loans totaling more than $570,174.

Including all undergraduates (2,963), 1,271 students used grants or scholarships totaling $5.4 million, and 1,059 students took out $4.7 million in federal student loans.
