FOIA Request to Brown County Treasurer Regarding Property Tax Records 2024 – Present on May 12, 2025.

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at the Green Bay Reporter have submitted a formal request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law. We are seeking access to property tax records for properties within Brown County for the year 2024 and any available data for 2025. Specifically, our request includes details such as Parcel ID, Year, Tax Value, and Assessed Value.

Our role as a media organization is to gather and report news that holds public institutions accountable while providing transparency to the public. Access to these records is crucial for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities effectively. In line with this mission, we have requested a fee waiver given our status as members of the media.

This request is supported by The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting media companies and advocacy groups in investigating governmental actions through Freedom of Information and Sunshine Laws. More information about their work can be found on their website at [https://stopsecrecy.org/about/](https://stopsecrecy.org/about/).

We await a response from the Brown County Treasurer’s office and remain committed to keeping the public informed about developments in this matter.
