FOIA Request to City Of Gillett Regarding Same Day Registered Voters in Wisconsin 2024 Election on November 7, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Green Bay Reporter have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new registrations voters that registered to vote on November 5, 2024.

Our role as media professionals involves gathering and reporting news to the public. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. We believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals given our role in disseminating information.

We await the response from the City Of Gillett and will continue our efforts in ensuring transparency and accountability in local government affairs.
