FOIA Request to Town of Brazeau Regarding Same Day Registered Voters for 2024 Election on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Green Bay Reporter have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Town of Brazeau. The request specifically asks for a list of new voter registrations that were completed on November 5, 2024.
We believe that access to public records is crucial in fulfilling our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. As a media organization, we are involved in gathering and reporting news to the public.
Given our role in disseminating information, we have also requested a fee waiver as media professionals. We eagerly await the response from the Town of Brazeau and will continue to keep our readers informed about this and other important matters related to local governance and elections.
