FOIA Request to Town of Grant Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Green Bay Reporter have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.

We believe that access to public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we consider ourselves eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.

Our request was made with the aim of shedding light on the electoral process and ensuring transparency in our democratic system. We await a positive response from the Town of Grant as we continue our work in disseminating information vital to our community.
