A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Town Of Waukechon, Wisconsin on November 7, 2024. The request, filed by us at Green Bay Reporter, seeks a list of new voters who registered to vote on Election Day, November 5, 2024.

As part of our commitment to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we requested these records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., with a preference for an electronic format.

The information sought is crucial in our efforts to provide transparency and hold public institutions accountable. As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities.

In line with this role in disseminating information to the public, we have also indicated our eligibility for a fee waiver as a media professional.

We remain open for any questions or clarifications regarding this request from the Town Of Waukechon officials.
