FOIA Request to Village of Allouez Regarding Same Day Registered Voters in 2024 Election.

On November 7, 2024, we at Green Bay Reporter sent a formal request to the Village of Allouez under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new registrations voters that registered to vote on November 5, 2024.

As a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.

Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals. We eagerly await the response from the Village of Allouez and look forward to sharing this important information with our readership.
