FOIA Request to Village Of Bellevue Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

We at Green Bay Reporter, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.

As a media organization, we are involved in gathering and reporting news to the public. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.

The request was made with the intention of ensuring that all voter registrations were carried out correctly and that there were no irregularities in the process. This is part of our ongoing commitment to uphold transparency and accountability in local government affairs.

We will continue to follow up on this request and provide updates as they become available.
