A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Village of Bonduel regarding same day registered voters for the 2024 election on November 7, 2024. The request was made by us at Green Bay Reporter, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.

The specific information requested under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., is a list of new voter registrations that occurred on November 5, 2024. We asked for this data preferably in an electronic format to facilitate easy analysis and reporting.

As a media organization, we play a crucial role in gathering and reporting news to the public. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.

We remain open for any questions or clarifications needed regarding this request. Our commitment at Green Bay Reporter is unwavering in ensuring transparency and accountability within our local government institutions.
