A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Village of Luxemburg regarding a list of new voter registrations that occurred on November 5, 2024. The request was made on November 7, 2024.

We at Green Bay Reporter, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, requested these records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., with a preference for an electronic format.

As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, access to public records is crucial for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.

We are eagerly awaiting the response from the Village of Luxemburg and will continue our efforts in keeping the public informed about important matters related to local governance and elections.
