Green Bay Area Public School District has announced the reopening of its high school greenhouses to the public for 2025. The announcement was made in a press release.
According to the press release, several high schools in the Green Bay area will open their greenhouses this spring, offering a wide variety of plants for purchase. The sales are organized by the schools’ Agriscience and Future Farmers of America (FFA) programs.
East High School will open its Agriscience and FFA greenhouse on May 8-10 and May 15-17. The greenhouse will be accessible from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Sales are subject to change if plants sell out. Preble High School will host its greenhouse sale on April 26 and May 2-3, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, with the sale ending once inventory runs out, according to the press release.
Southwest High School will begin its sale on May 2-3, with additional dates starting May 5. The greenhouse will be open Mondays through Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., continuing until plants sell out. West High School will offer its plants on May 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and again on May 14-15 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., or until inventory runs out, according to the press release.
