The city of Green Bay has announced that Military Avenue will host a three-day tailgate party from April 24 to 26 to celebrate the NFL Draft. The event will offer activities, food, and entertainment for visitors and families, as said in a press release on April 17, 2025.

According to the announcement, the tailgate event will take place near the Draft Campus entrance at Military and Lombardi avenues. It will commence daily at 9 a.m. and feature Wisconsin-themed offerings. Guests can expect an all-day breakfast, a rotating mix of food trucks, and a beverage tent serving local beer and drinks. Additionally, live entertainment, family-friendly music, and a mini market with vendors from the Military Avenue Business District will showcase locally made products.

The event is designed to provide a welcoming experience during NFL Draft Week with free or low-cost options for families. It includes various games and shopping opportunities alongside dedicated services like the “Get Around Green Bay” table to assist visitors. Parking will be available at Military Times Square, formerly known as the Green Bay Nursery.

Scott Batterham, co-owner of Book Stop on Military Ave and an event organizer, said: “We want a family to be able to come in and enjoy the day and enjoy their stay here in Green Bay.” He added that it would be “a tailgate party, just like you’d find on Packer gamedays, but with even more for everyone to enjoy.”

Military Avenue, Inc., formed from the former Military Avenue Business Association and approved as a Business Improvement District in 2013, supports business growth along Green Bay’s west-side corridor through infrastructure, marketing, and development efforts. The district is anchored by established businesses such as H. J. Martin and Son and a historic McDonald’s. It offers free parking, highway access, and walkable surroundings close to Lambeau Field. Its mission focuses on collaboration and district-wide improvements with strategic goals to boost business occupancy, property values, and residential density over the next five years.
