The City of Green Bay and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Green Bay (RDA) has embarked on an effort to plan for the redevelopment of a 25.6-acre parcel, commonly known as the JBS Redevelopment Site.  This area of land provides the City with a tremendous opportunity to create a unique and innovative destination and inject the area neighborhoods with housing and recreational opportunities that currently do not exist.  The development will including new and varied housing options, a new destination community park, an urban farm, and create connection to the neighborhoods linking Guns Road, Lime Kiln Road and Imperial Lane.  The City has received generous donations from JBS and others, along with grant funding from the State of Wisconsin to assist in making it a reality.

The City of Green Bay has hired GRAEF, an engineering and planning consulting firm from Green Bay, to develop a Conceptual Redevelopment Site Plan.

An Open House to review the Draft Conceptual Redevelopment Site Plan will be held on Saturday, June 24th, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at VT Pride Park, located at 2203 Imperial Lane in Green Bay.  This is an opportunity for you to provide input to on the draft plan and give the City and GRAEF valuable feedback on what you like and what can be added or improved in the plan. Representatives from GRAEF and the City of Green Bay will be available to facilitate discussions, explain the plan components, outline the process, and capture public feedback.

Individuals may also offer their comments at the City of Green Bay Department of Community & Economic Development office at 100 N. Jefferson Street, Room 608, Green Bay, WI inside City Hall. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays from 7:30 am – 11:30 am.  Comments will be accepted until Friday, July 14th, 2023.
