Rep. Tony Wied, a public figure known for his active engagement on social media, recently shared several statements via Twitter addressing local achievements, legal accountability, and agricultural policy.

On May 21, 2025, Rep. Wied acknowledged the service of Sheriff Timothy Wilz with a tweet stating “Last week, Sheriff Timothy Wilz celebrated 30 years of dedicated service to Waupaca County and the citizens of Northeast Wisconsin.” He extended gratitude on behalf of Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District for Wilz’s “decades of honorable service.”

In another tweet from the same day, Rep. Wied addressed issues of legal accountability by asserting “It’s not political intimidation to hold someone accountable for assaulting law enforcement officers.” He emphasized that no one is exempt from the law with the statement “You’re not above the law, Congresswoman.”

Later that afternoon, Rep. Wied expressed support for farmers through a call for legislative action. He tweeted “Our farmers work hard every single day to feed our nation and they deserve tax relief.” He advocated for passing what he referred to as “One Big Beautiful Bill” in support of this cause.

Sheriff Timothy Wilz has been serving Waupaca County in Northeast Wisconsin for three decades.
