Rep. Tony Wied, a prominent figure in the House of Representatives, recently shared several updates on social media regarding legislative actions and personal interests. His communications covered topics from job opportunities for graduates to national celebrations.

On June 4, 2025, Rep. Wied announced that the House had voted to pass H.R. 1642, a bill aimed at connecting Career and Technical Education (CTE) graduates with more job opportunities. He expressed pride in being an original co-sponsor of the bill, which “codifies President Trump’s executive order on the matter”.

Later that day, he urged the Senate to pass what he referred to as the “Big Beautiful Bill,” which aims to cut taxes for everyday Americans, secure borders, preserve Medicaid and SNAP for vulnerable populations, and unleash American energy. In his statement, Rep. Wied emphasized that while waiting for Senate action, “the House must pass as many DOGE cuts as possible”.

In a lighter note posted on June 4th as well, Rep. Wied celebrated National Cheese Day by sharing an interesting fact about Wisconsin’s cheese production capabilities. He stated that if Wisconsin were considered a country, it would rank fourth globally in cheese production. He encouraged people to celebrate by purchasing Wisconsin cheese “to celebrate this important holiday”.

The Big Beautiful Bill referenced by Rep. Wied is known for its focus on economic measures such as tax reductions and securing border policies.
