Rep. Tony Wied, who represents Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district, posted a series of messages on social media in mid-October 2025 highlighting his recent activities and policy positions.

On October 15, 2025, Wied shared details about a visit to a local organization, stating, “I enjoyed touring the CP Center in Green Bay with Executive Director Jon Syndergaard to learn about the incredible services they provide to over 2100 people, reaching over 14 counties through 4 different locations. We are so lucky to have organizations like the CP here in #WI08.”

Later that same day, Wied addressed concerns over energy policy and governance. He wrote, “Unelected bureaucrats should never have the power to override the will of the people. That’s why I’m urging the WI State Legislature to consider legislation that would restore local influence over large-scale energy projects. It’s time to return power to local communities.”

On October 16, 2025, Wied marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month by posting, “October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This disease has impacted so many lives, and we must keep raising awareness until we find a cure. Early detection saves lives. Let’s continue to educate and support research until no one has to fight this terrible disease again.”

Wied was elected in 2024 after defeating Kristin Lyerly in the general election, securing 57.3% of the vote compared to Lyerly’s 42.6%. He represents Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district.
