Rep. Tony Wied, who represents Wisconsin and won his seat in 2024 by defeating Kristin Lyerly with 57.3% of the vote, shared several updates on April 15, 2026 through his social media account.
In a post published at 13:42 UTC, Wied announced the passage of legislation he authored to rename a local postal facility: “I was proud to see the House pass my bill to rename the Waupaca Post Office in honor of Master Sgt. Melvin O. Handrich – a Waupaca County native and Medal of Honor recipient who served our country in both WWII and Korea. This renaming will ensure his legacy will be remembered”.
Later that day, at 14:52 UTC, Wied posted another message: “Just going to leave this here: https://t.co/hVg0nmIgDb https://t.co/jnfkEmXDIY”.
At 21:05 UTC, Wied commented on recent tax policy changes affecting family farms: “When Democrats voted for the largest tax increase in American history, it included expanding the death tax on hardworking family-owned farms. The Working Families Tax Cuts exempted 2 million of those farms from this tax and makes it easier to pass them to the next generation.”
Wied’s legislative activity comes after his victory over Kristin Lyerly in the general election two years earlier, securing his role as a representative for Wisconsin.
