A Kaukauna area teenager is more than halfway to reaching his summer goal of mowing 50 lawns as part of the nonprofit Raising Men Lawn Care Service's 50 Yard Challenge, which aims to help others by mowing their lawns free of charge.
Michael Posorski, 16, has mowed 30 lawns in about three weeks as part of the challenge, WBAY reported.
"Great job by Michael Posorski who's dedicating part of his summer toward mowing the lawns of the elderly, disabled, single parents and veterans in the Kaukauna area for free," Wisconsin State Sen. Rob Cowles (R-Green Bay) wrote in an Aug. 29 tweet. "He's already at 30 lawns with more to come. Keep up the great work!"
According to WBAY, Posorski found the challenge, to mow 50 lawns free of charge for those who need help including the elderly, sick or single parents on Facebook and took it up in addition to his paid summer job.
WBAY reported Posorski is one of 31 kids across the state of Wisconsin who are currently attempting to complete the challenge, and one of about 2,000 across the globe.
Completing the challenge might mean the challenge's founder Rodney Smith could fly out to meet Posorski and gift him with new mowing equipment, according to WBAY.
