City of Green Bay Snow Clean-Up

A City-wide plowing operation began at 3 a.m. today (Thursday), February 23, 2023. As of 8 a.m., primary roads have been plowed again, and units are working in residential routes.

Just under 10 inches of snow has fallen in Green Bay as of 6 a.m. today with up to 3 inches more predicted to fall by midday.  When residential routes are done being plowed, Public Works will go back to re-plow and salt primary routes.

Public Works will continue snow clean-up duties tomorrow (Friday) with high wind creating drifting in open areas. Below zero wind chills will follow tonight (Thursday) into Friday, with potential for more snow on Saturday and up to an inch of rain on Monday.

Public Works continues to monitor roadway conditions and addresses them as needed.  Residents are asked to (1) be patient with Public Works services; (2) adhere to snow emergency rules through 10 p.m. tonight (Thursday); and (3) not blow or shovel snow back into the street.
