Sundance Wicks, former Green Bay Men's Basketball coach, has been appointed as the new head coach for Wyoming Men’s Basketball. His previous contributions to Green Bay were acknowledged with gratitude and pride. "We are so thankful and proud of the work Sundance did during his time in Green Bay. He reenergized our program, university and this entire region and we will be forever grateful for the mark he made on Phoenix basketball," a statement from Green Bay read. The statement also extended best wishes to Wicks and his family as they embark on their new journey in Wyoming.

In response to his appointment, Wicks expressed his belief in the ethos of the Green Bay community. “The Green Bay Way is a BELIEF. It’s a way of life. How you decide to do anything is how you do everything," he said. Reflecting on his 14-month tenure at UWGB, he added, "Since I arrived on the UWGB campus 14 months ago, WE ALL decided to restore this great program back to its rightful place atop the league." He further expressed gratitude towards the community for its support and ended his statement by encouraging them to continue striving for greatness.

Following Wick's departure, Green Bay has initiated its search for a new leader for Phoenix basketball.
