The Green Bay Packers and USA Football have recently distributed fall grants to youth football organizations across Wisconsin. These grants aim to support grassroots programs, fostering community engagement and inspiring young athletes.
The grant program, supported by the NFL Foundation, provides new equipment and resources to local youth programs based on merit and need. This initiative aligns with the Packers' ongoing commitment to grassroots football, allowing young players to enjoy the sport while learning valuable life skills.
Recipients of the 2024 USA Football fall grant include several local programs such as Poynette Panthers Youth Football in Poynette, St. Francis Xavier Football in Cross Plains, Pardeeville Youth Football in Pardeeville, Fox Valley Pop Warner Football in Appleton, McFarland Youth Football Inc. in McFarland, Columbus Football Organization in Columbus, Southeastern Wisconsin Brew City Pop Warner in Milwaukee, and Mad Town Elite in Madison.
"The Packers constantly search for new ways to support youth football in Wisconsin," stated USA Football CEO Scott Hallenbeck. "We're thankful for this chance to work together for the benefit of youth football organizations and local football communities. Our fall grants ensure programs have access to crucial up-to-date equipment and resources so youth athletes may enjoy America's favorite sport."
Nationally, USA Football's fall grant recipients include over 630 youth sports organizations that received approximately $350,000 worth of new equipment. Throughout 2024, USA Football has awarded about $1.1 million in grants to various deserving leagues and multi-sport programs.
