FOIA Request to Village of Bowler Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
We at Green Bay Reporter have submitted a formal request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records pertaining to new voter registrations in the Village of Bowler. Specifically, we are seeking a list of voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
As a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
In our request, we have asked that these records be provided in an electronic format for ease of access and analysis. We believe that as media professionals engaged in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver.
