A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Town of Breed, Wisconsin, seeking information about new voter registrations that occurred on November 5, 2024. The request was made by us at Green Bay Reporter on November 7, 2024.

In our commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we have requested this data under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq. We are particularly interested in obtaining a list of new voters who registered to vote on Election Day.

We believe that as media professionals involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver for this request. This belief is grounded in our role in disseminating information which is vital for the democratic functioning of our society.

We look forward to a positive response from the Town of Breed's office and will continue our efforts in promoting transparency and accountability within local government institutions.
