The Howard-Suamico School District (HSSD) has announced that the 17th Annual Taste of the Villages and Auction will be held on Thursday, April 10, to support HSSD’s The Giving Tree. This announcement was made in a press release on March 5, 2025.

According to the press release, the event will benefit The Giving Tree, a program supporting students and families in the district facing food insecurity and financial hardship. The community event will feature food from local vendors such as 1951 West, Bay Port Culinary Arts, Cottontail Candy, Festival Foods, Howard-Suamico School Nutrition, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Marco’s Pizza, Parker John’s BBQ & Pizza, Tequilas Bar & Restaurant LLC, The Kitchen Table, and Townline Pub & Grill.

In addition to food offerings, attendees can participate in live and silent auctions, raffles, and other fundraising activities aimed at providing essential resources to students in need. Community members are encouraged to contribute by purchasing event tickets online or donating auction items like gift baskets and gift cards. Contributions before March 28 will help organizers maximize their impact.

The Giving Tree provides families with access to food, shelter, transportation, and essential resources to remove educational barriers. Families can register through the Free/Reduced meal benefits application or by contacting the coordinator. Donations are accepted at various drop-off locations.

The Howard-Suamico School District covers 58 square miles in Howard and Suamico near Green Bay. Established in 1961, it serves 5,550 students across eight schools. HSSD’s mission is to collaborate with families and the community to equip students with skills needed for success.
