Rep. Tony Wied, who represents Northeast Wisconsin, recently addressed several issues affecting his district in a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On July 30, 2025, Wied commented on the region’s environmental conditions, stating, “The air quality in Northeast Wisconsin is currently unhealthy. Americans shouldn’t have to suffer the consequences of Canada’s poor forest management. We must work together to prevent future wildfires across our border and protect the air quality across Wisconsin.”

In another post dated July 31, 2025, Wied condemned actions taken against a fellow legislator: “This kind of intimidation against my colleague and good friend @RepBryanSteil is once again reprehensible. The left is obsessed with political violence.”

Later that same day, Wied highlighted his engagement with local industry during a visit to a cheese manufacturer: “My team and I enjoyed visiting @belgioiosoinc in Green Bay. We discussed how we can work together to tackle some of the challenges facing our great Wisconsin cheese makers and got a chance to taste some of their fantastic products.”

Wied’s recent statements come after he won election to Congress in 2024 by defeating Kristin Lyerly with 57.3% of the vote.
