Rep. Tony Wied, who won the 2024 general election for Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District, posted a series of updates on his social media account this week, addressing both personal reflections and local events.

On October 14, 2025, Wied marked the birthday and legacy of Charlie Kirk, writing: “Today we honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk. Charlie would’ve been 32 years old today, but he was senselessly taken from his wife, young children, and all of us far too soon. Let today be a stark reminder that political violence has absolutely no place in our country.”

The following day, on October 15, Wied shared details about a visit to a local business in Chilton: “I had a great time visiting Forest Brook Seeds in Chilton yesterday. It was awesome to get to see their impressive operations firsthand and have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of one of their combines.”

Later that same day, he recognized a regional celebration with a brief post: “Happy National Cheese Curd Day from #WI08!”

Wied’s recent election victory over Kristin Lyerly was decisive; he secured 57.3% of the vote compared to Lyerly’s 42.6%. This result affirmed his role as representative for Wisconsin’s 8th district.
