On September 10, 2025, Wied posted criticism of Democratic policies on crime, stating: “Democrats’ soft-on-crime policies have made our communities less safe and the media has turned a blind eye to it. What happened in North Carolina wasn’t an isolated incident. We will not have safe streets until we stop allowing violent repeat offenders to roam free.”
Later that day, he commented on political violence, writing: “Please join me in praying for Charlie Kirk.
