Rep. Tony Wied, who represents Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district, shared updates on social media about recent events and engagements with his constituents in late August 2025.

On August 25, Rep. Wied visited a local business in Peshtigo, sharing his experience: “I enjoyed touring Precision Ice Blast in Peshtigo with @SBADeputy_Bill to learn more about their innovative work and see their impressive training facility. Just one more example of the incredible small businesses driving innovation here in #WI08.”

Later that day, he highlighted his participation at an educational event: “I was honored to speak at the 35th Annual Wisconsin Space Conference at UWGB. The Wisconsin Space Consortium’s mission to inspire STEM education through space is inspiring. I look forward to supporting their partnership with UWGB and the future of space research for”.

On August 26, Rep. Wied posted about attending a community gathering: “I had a great time stopping by the Waupaca County Fair this past weekend. Always enjoy catching up with so many friends — including Sheriff Wilz, who works tirelessly every day to keep Waupaca communities safe.”

Rep. Wied was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Kristin Lyerly with 57.3% of the vote compared to Lyerly’s 42.6%. He has since been active in highlighting local businesses, educational initiatives, and community events within his district.
