Rep. Tony Wied, who represents Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district, shared a series of posts on September 16, 2025, highlighting legislative efforts and his views on national issues.

In a post from the morning of September 16, Wied stated: “I was proud to join our @HouseGOP Leadership this morning to discuss the major wins that our Working Families Tax Cuts will provide for small businesses in #WI08 and across the country.”

Later that day, he recognized National Truck Driver Appreciation Week with another message: “Happy National Truck Driver Appreciation Week! Truck drivers work tirelessly to move goods across our country and ensure Americans have what they need. As a member of @TransportGOP, I will always continue to fight for them in Washington.”

Wied also commented on immigration policy in an evening post: “Having the ability to come to this country is a privilege, not a right. @SecRubio is absolutely correct. Why would we allow you to live here if you hate Americans and what we stand for?”

Tony Wied was elected to Congress after defeating Kristin Lyerly in the 2024 general election by securing 57.3% of the vote compared to Lyerly’s 42.6%. He currently serves as a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
