Rep. Tony Wied, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, marked Constitution Day and recent legislative activity in a series of posts on September 17, 2025.

In his first post, Wied commemorated the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution: “238 years ago, our founders signed the most important document in our nation’s history. Thanks to their vision, we are able to live in the greatest country in the world. https://t.co/GkfjdRJg0q” (September 17, 2025).

Later that day, he commented on recent legislative actions by House Republicans: “This week, House Republicans passed multiple bills that will assist President Trump’s efforts to make our nation’s capital safe again.

We will no longer allow criminals in DC to get a free pass and every other soft-on-crime city in the country should take note. https://t.co/VxCewSGQto” (September 17, 2025).

Wied also posted a brief message without further context: “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. https://t.co/2hdj4QC9Bx” (September 17, 2025).

Rep. Tony Wied was elected to Congress after defeating Kristin Lyerly in the 2024 general election with approximately 57% of the vote.
