A company with a mission to "help people everywhere live healthy lives" plans to add on to its gummy vitamin and supplement manufacturing facility on the east side of Green Bay by more than doubling its footprint.
According to FOX 11, Nature's Way recently announced it will make space for manufacturing, packaging and warehousing by building a 116,000-square-foot addition, which would more than double the amount of current building space.
"The demand for gummies skyrocketed during the pandemic as people looked for ways to stay healthy," Nicole Polarek, Nature's Way executive vice president and COO, said in a press release. "The trend is showing no signs of slowing down so we are ramping up to continue to meet consumer demand."
Nature's Way has about 700 current employees and is working to hire an additional 25-30 workers to go along with the expansion, FOX 11 reported.
According to FOX 11, the company plans to begin constructing the addition this upcoming summer with an anticipated completion date by early fall 2023.
In the two years since Nature's Way opened the production facility on Green Bay's east side it already already has made more than a billion gummies, FOX 11 reported.
