Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady made for one heck of a team during the recent 6th annual The Match charity golf event, edging out Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen at the Wynn Golf Club near the Las Vegas strip.

Rodgers saved the best for last, sinking the final putt with the score tied at 3-3 to clinch the win for him and Brady. The Green Bay Packers quarterback’s heroics marked the second year in a row in which he made the game-winning putt for his team.

“9 iron. Putter. W. Great victory with the goat,” Rodgers tweeted at the end of the 12-hole match-play event where the scoring was awarded based on whichever team scored better on each hole.

As the action unfolded, the jokes freely flowed, with most of them being centered on the difference in age between all the players, as both Mahomes and Allen are 26, while Brady and Rodgers are 44 and 38 respectively.

"I felt really good about [the putt], to be honest," Rodgers told CBSSports.com. "Tommy gave me a great read. I heard Trevor [Immelman] and Charles [Barkley] in my head telling me I was going to make it, and I felt good about the line when I hit it, I knew it was going in. It was a fun day.”

Over the years, the event has also included the likes of pro golfers Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau and former NFL star quarterback Peyton Manning.
