Packers announce roster moves ahead of new season

The Green Bay Packers have announced a series of roster changes. Kicker Greg Joseph has been released from the team, while several players have been signed to the practice squad. The newly signed players include Deslin Alexandre (DL), Sean Clifford (QB), James Ester (DL), Alex Hale (K, NFL International Player Pathway program), Julian Hicks (WR), Donovan Jennings (G/T), Kalen King (CB), Nate McCrary (RB), Ellis Merriweather (RB), Robert Rochell (CB, pronounced roh-SHELL), Lecitus Smith (G/C, pronounced luh-SEET-us) and Messiah Swinson (TE).

General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced these transactions on Wednesday.

All 12 players joining the practice squad were part of the Packers' 2024 training camp.

Additionally, QB Malik Willis will be wearing No. 2 for the Packers, and CB Carrington Valentine has changed his number to No. 24.
