The Green Bay Packers have announced an invitation to middle school students across Wisconsin to attend "Empower," a leadership event scheduled for January 16, 2025. The event is designed to inspire students to become positive leaders within their communities.

This free, day-long event will be held at the Resch Expo in Ashwaubenon from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It will feature various leadership activities and programs aimed at sixth through eighth-grade students, encouraging them to strive for personal excellence and community improvement.

Participants will also hear from a keynote speaker and receive lunch and complimentary t-shirts. The Packers are covering all costs associated with the event except for transportation, which schools must arrange themselves. Students in grades six through eight during the 2024-25 school year are eligible to participate.

Teachers and community leaders are encouraged to bring their students by registering on the provided website by November 22 due to limited space. Upon registration, school leaders will receive a confirmation email containing a link for attendee information submission by December 6. Each participating middle school can bring up to 14 students and two chaperones; additional chaperones are required if more than seven students attend.

This initiative is part of Green Bay Packers Give Back, a comprehensive community outreach program that includes various charitable activities such as appearances by players and staff, donations, Make-A-Wish visits, and other community events. The annual charitable impact of this program exceeds $11 million.
