The Green Bay Packers have opened nominations for the "Packers Protect & Serve Award," aimed at honoring law enforcement officers in Wisconsin who demonstrate exceptional service. The award acknowledges officers who show leadership, dedication, and a commitment to community betterment.
Eligible nominees are active law enforcement officers, either full or part-time, who have displayed heroism or extraordinary commitment to public safety and their communities. Nominations can be made for individual officers or departments across four categories: Individual Officer Award, K-9 Award, School Resource Officer Award, and Department Award. A total of 15 awards will be given: 12 for individual officers and one for each of the other three categories.
The award is supported by the Packers and the NFL Foundation. Each recipient will receive a $2,000 grant to benefit their department or a nonprofit organization they are associated with.
Nominations are open from January 30 through March 14 and can be submitted online at packers.formstack.com/forms/packers_protect_and_serve_award_2025. For more information, interested parties can contact the Packers' community outreach department at 920-569-7500.
This initiative is part of Green Bay Packers Give Back, which is the team's comprehensive community outreach program. Last year, combined with other charitable activities by the team, these efforts contributed over $13 million to charity.
