Emplify Health by Bellin and Emplify Health by Gundersen operate extensive volunteer programs that involve community members in various aspects of healthcare. In 2024, the organization collaborated with over 700 volunteers who dedicated approximately 55,000 service hours, supporting more than 5,600 events across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Dawn McCole, Emplify Health by Bellin's Volunteer Services Manager, shared, "What I love the most about our volunteers is that they each have a unique story and reason for being here. We see past patients, loved ones of patients, retired employees, and community members who simply want to make a difference. Their selfless acts of care are truly inspiring."

Volunteers at Emplify Health play diverse roles in hospitals and clinics. Eileen Wiltinger, Volunteer Services Manager at Emplify Health by Gundersen, explained, "We match our volunteers with roles that reflect their strengths and abilities, ensuring everyone can find a meaningful way to contribute. Whether it’s greeting visitors, assisting patients as they navigate to appointments, or working behind the scenes, there are many ways to make a positive impact."

Volunteering is an opportunity for people to contribute to their community and foster empathy and compassion. McCole encouraged participation, saying, "We encourage all ages, those working or retired, to take even an hour of your day to give back."
