The Green Bay Packers have made several changes to their roster, as announced by General Manager Brian Gutekunst on Tuesday. The team has promoted offensive tackle Brant Banks from the practice squad to the active roster. Wide receiver Jakobie Keeney-James has been signed to the practice squad, while wide receiver Mecole Hardman has been released from the practice squad.
Banks joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent from Rice University on May 2, 2025. He spent the regular season on Green Bay's practice squad and appeared in Week 2 against Washington as a gameday elevation. During his college career, Banks played in 51 games with 26 starts at various positions along the offensive line, including time at Nebraska and Rice.
Keeney-James is a rookie wide receiver who played college football at Eastern Washington and UMass. He initially signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025, but was released after training camp. In his college career, Keeney-James recorded over 1,600 receiving yards and scored ten touchdowns across 49 games. He also contributed as a rusher and kickoff returner. For the Packers, he will wear jersey number 84.
