Registration is now open for the Green Bay Packers' 16th annual "Tundra Tales" at-home reading program, which targets students in grades 4K through 5. The registration deadline is Friday, October 3, and the program will run from October 13 to November 16, 2025.

The "Tundra Tales" initiative encourages children to read outside of school hours with the goal of supporting grade-level reading by third grade and fostering lifelong reading habits. Students are required to read or be read to for a total of 60 minutes each week over four weeks, totaling 240 minutes. An additional week has been included to help accommodate different school schedules.

Educators and coordinators can enroll their students in one four-week segment. Those who meet the reading requirement will receive a voucher for free admission for themselves and an adult to the Packers Hall of Fame.

Wisconsin public or private school classrooms that register for Tundra Tales and achieve a completion rate of at least 75 percent are eligible for a $100 grant to use toward literary resources. Schools with five or more classrooms completing the program will have a chance to win one of five $1,000 grants for literacy resources.

According to the announcement, "Grants are funded by Green Bay Packers Give Back and are available for public and private schools in Wisconsin only. Checks will be made out to schools or districts, with letters specifying how funds should be distributed to individual classes. To release funding, the Green Bay Packers Community Outreach department must have a W-9 on file. W-9 forms are available upon request."

Information about the program is posted on packers.com/tundratales, where details about deadlines and requirements can also be found.

The program welcomes participation from homeschoolers, virtual schools, after-school programs, parent-teacher organizations, and families.
