The Green Bay Packers have added guard/center Lecitus Smith to their practice squad, the team announced Wednesday. General Manager Brian Gutekunst confirmed the signing.

Smith, who is 6-foot-3 and weighs 314 pounds, enters his third year in the NFL after playing college football at Virginia Tech. He was with the Packers during training camp earlier this year and also spent time on Green Bay's offseason roster, as well as on the team's practice squad for the first six weeks of the season in 2024.

In addition to his time with Green Bay, Smith played for both the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024. With New England, he appeared in eight games and started once. Smith began his professional career when he was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the sixth round (215th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. During his rookie season with Arizona, he played in ten games and started twice at right guard.

Smith's career has included stints on several teams' practice squads. In 2023, he spent time with both the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles. At Virginia Tech, Smith played in 45 games with 38 starts and earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors twice (2019-20). He will wear number 64 for Green Bay.
