Rep. Tony Wied, who won the 2024 general election against Kristin Lyerly, shared a series of posts on September 23, 2025, highlighting his office's recent work and commenting on current political events.

In a post at 17:27 UTC, Wied described helping a constituent obtain a passport before an international school exchange trip. He wrote, "My office recently assisted a constituent in obtaining her passport just in time for her school exchange program.

After not receiving her passport, my team helped schedule an emergency passport appointment and her passport was in-hand prior to her afternoon international flight."

Later that day at 19:02 UTC, Wied posted a brief statement: "JUSTICE IN AMERICA."

At 20:07 UTC, he commented on government shutdowns and legislative accountability. Wied stated, "2021: Government shutdowns hurt Wisconsin.

2025: Votes to shut it down — then blames the people who voted to fund it.

You really can’t make this stuff up."

Wied represents his district after defeating Kristin Lyerly in the 2024 general election with 57.3% of the vote compared to Lyerly's 42.6%.
