Rep. Tony Wied, a member of the House Agriculture Committee and representative from Wisconsin, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing support for farmers, political violence, and ongoing government funding negotiations.

On September 24, 2025, Wied highlighted his role in supporting local agriculture: "As a member of @HouseAgGOP, I'm proud to have invested in our great Wisconsin farmers. House Republicans have given them the tools they need to succeed and continue feeding America for generations to come."

The following day, he commented on recent incidents involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers: "Make no mistake: the Democrats’ constant demonization of our ICE officers and their inflammatory rhetoric are the cause of this violence. Until they stop riling up their base, we won't see an end to this political violence." This statement was posted on September 25, 2025.

Later that same day, Wied addressed legislative developments regarding federal funding: "House Democrats voted against the continuing resolution to keep the government open. Senate Dems like @SenatorBaldwin are blocking the 60 votes needed to pass it in the Senate. So let's be clear: if there's a government shutdown, the blame is on the Democrats."

Wied’s remarks come after his victory in the 2024 general election over Kristin Lyerly with 57.3% of the vote compared to Lyerly's 42.6%. As a newly elected representative from Wisconsin, he has focused much of his public messaging on agricultural policy and partisan debates over law enforcement and government operations.
