The Green Bay Packers have announced a partnership with Verizon to eliminate $100,000 of debt for Wisconsin veterans after each Packers win during the 2025 season. The initiative will be conducted in collaboration with ForgiveCo and aims to address medical and financial debt that often affects veterans returning to civilian life.
Veterans do not need to apply for this assistance. Instead, ForgiveCo will identify recipients through its random acts of kindness model, notifying them following each Packers victory.
"Our veterans served our country with honor, and now it's our turn to serve them," said Andy Brady, President, Verizon Great Lakes. "Through this partnership with the Packers, we're turning every win into tangible relief for Wisconsin veterans who shouldn't have to choose between their health and their financial stability. This isn't just about erasing debt – it's about erasing barriers that prevent our heroes from thriving in the communities they protected."

This program is part of Verizon's broader $22 million veteran debt relief effort, which runs through 2026. So far, more than $8.79 million in debt has been erased for over 6,000 veterans across the Great Lakes region, averaging more than $800 per veteran.
The new initiative builds on an existing multi-year partnership between the Packers and Verizon that began in April. This agreement includes sponsorship of the Verizon Loft at Lambeau Field and supports daily operations as well as connectivity for fans during games.
Verizon Communications Inc., based in New York City, is a global provider of technology and communications services. In 2022, it reported revenues of $136.8 billion.
ForgiveCo is a public benefit corporation focused on eliminating unpayable and predatory debt through partnerships with organizations.
