Brown County ranked 13th in Wisconsin for resident earnings in 2018

Brown County ranked 13th among counties in Wisconsin by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Brown County residents was $31,468 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 104,133 households with a population of 259,786.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Waukesha County with $39,763 per year after adjusting for inflation – $8,295 more than Brown County. It had 157,548 households with a population of 398,879.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Adams County with $22,506 per year after adjusting for inflation – $8,962 less than Brown County. It had 8,619 households with a population of 20,073.
