Rep. Tony Wied, who represents Wisconsin's 8th congressional district, recently shared updates on his legislative priorities and views through a series of posts on social media.

On September 2, 2025, Wied marked his return to the nation's capital with a message to constituents: "It's good to be back in Washington to continue working for the great people of #WI08".

The following day, September 3, he addressed regulatory challenges faced by small businesses. In a post promoting new legislation, Wied stated: "Small business owners deserve to run their businesses without being constantly bogged down by burdensome government regulations. My DUMP Red Tape Act would give them a direct voice to tell the government to get out of their way."

Later that same day, Wied commented on national security issues related to drug trafficking and recent executive actions. He wrote: "The cartels have flooded our country with deadly drugs that kill American citizens every single day. With this action, President Trump has made it clear that narcoterrorists will no longer be granted safe haven anywhere in the world."

Wied was elected in 2024 after defeating Kristin Lyerly in the general election with 57.3% of the vote.
