The Universities of Wisconsin will present Camera Corner Connecting Point (CCCP) with the Regents Business Partnership Award. The ceremony is set for Friday afternoon, where Regent Angela Adams will award the recognition to the Green Bay-based technology solutions company for its collaboration and support of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
The event will commence at 1 p.m. at Camera Corner Connecting Point's location on 529 N. Monroe Ave., downtown Green Bay. Rick Chernick, a UW-Green Bay alumnus and current Owner and CEO of CCCP, will accept the award. The company's contributions to UW-Green Bay include establishing a scholarship fund, supporting the Green Bay Athletic program, and providing employment opportunities for graduates.
Founded in 1953 as a small camera store in downtown Green Bay, CCCP has evolved into a technology solutions provider with over 300 employees across several states in the U.S., following its merger into the ACP CreativIT family. Chernick has been associated with UW-Green Bay since graduating in 1974 and helped establish a scholarship endowment funded mainly by former recipients of the UWGB Distinguished Alumni Award.
UW-Green Bay Chancellor Michael Alexander and Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman are expected to attend the ceremony.
Members of the media have been invited to cover this event and are requested to RSVP to Kristin Bouchard at bouchark@uwgb.edu.
