The Green Bay Packers Foundation is currently accepting applications for its annual grant program. The application window will remain open until July 7, 2025.
This year's focus is on funding programs or projects related to animal welfare, health and wellness, including issues such as drug, alcohol, and domestic violence, civic and community initiatives, and environmental causes.
Eligibility for the grants is limited to organizations whose programs align with these criteria. This marks the third year of the current three-year grant cycle. Eligible applicants must be classified as exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code, possess a valid IRS Tax ID for at least two years, and be located in Wisconsin. Organizations can apply only once during each three-year cycle.
Interested parties can verify their eligibility and submit applications online at packers.com/foundation. Grant amounts typically range from $3,000 to $8,000; however, recipients may not receive the full amount requested. The total distribution varies annually based on application volume and available funds.
Applications will be reviewed by the Green Bay Packers Foundation Trustees, who will finalize grant recipients in October. A public announcement will follow in November or December.
Last year, the Foundation awarded $1.5 million to 398 civic and charitable groups across Wisconsin. Since its inception in 1986, over $25.7 million has been distributed for charitable purposes.
The annual grant program is part of Green Bay Packers Give Back, which includes various community outreach efforts such as player appearances, donations, events, Make-A-Wish visits, football outreach among others. Last year alone saw a charity impact exceeding $13 million.
